Three-phase transformers


S.V.T. three-phase transformers and three-phase autotransformers are designed and manufactured using high-grade low-loss materials and with various magnetic core architectures according to the customer's specifications (90º and 45º interlocked jointed laminations, cores with planed joints, with air gap, etc.). The energy of a three-phase system can be transformed either by means of three appropriately connected single-phase transformers, thus creating a three-phase bank, or by means of a three-phase transformer that has the power equal to the sum of the powers of the three single-phase transformers.Therefore, three-phase transformers are to be considered as three independent, single-phase electrical windings, each consisting of one phase. Three-phase autotransformers, unlike three-phase transformers, have a single winding and therefore do not have galvanic separation and, therefore, do not require galvanic separation between the two windings.

Different types of protection can be realised on specific request, even of the output terminals only, and further equipment for thermal and/or manoeuvring protection and handling can also be supplied. Precise and binding tests ensure a high degree of safety and reliability of every single transformer produced, in compliance with current national and international standards.

S.V.T. products include both inductors and three-phase reactors; those with magnetic core have grain oriented lamination at low powers, subdividing the air gap so as to considerably reduce noise and loss.

Careful pre-testing and final testing provide an accurate and safe inductive product for any application.

Designed and manufactured with quality products

S.V.T.'s three-phase transformers and autotransformers are designed and manufactured using top quality materials: electrolytic copper wire and aluminium conductors, insulators with high dielectric and thermal properties

(F and H classes), impregnation with paint or epoxy resins, extremely robust and safe mechanical support parts suitable for any installation requirement. S.V.T. three-phase transformers and autotransformers can be supplied complete with customised accessories and wiring, based on the end customer's specific requirements. On request, a metal box for various degrees of machine protection can be supplied. The quality of S.V.T. three-phase transformers and three-phase autotransformers is verified on several levels: every stage of production is checked, from the initial winding to the final testing of the transformer itself. Every transformer is 100% tested after manufacture. In this way, the electromagnetic performance and guaranteed safety level is certified for each transformer produced. Pre-testing as well as final testing is carried out in accordance with the applicable CEI EN 61558 - CEI 96.7 - 96.8 - CE standards, depending on the type of transformer and its use. The careful control of production processes and customised testing with dedicated and specially designed equipment guarantees S.V.T. electrical transformers maximum reliability. It should also be noted that S.V.T.'s three-phase transformers and three-phase autotransformers are manufactured with automatic machines in order to guarantee maximum reliability and repeatability in electrical tolerance parameters. S.V.T. designs and develops different types of three-phase transformers and three-phase autotransformers designed and customised according to the end customer's needs, maximising performance and preventing problems.
